IFRS 18 (Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements) is a major new accounting standard issued by the IASB that replaces IAS 1. It takes effect for annual periods beginning on or after January 1, 2027. 

While it does not change how companies measure assets or calculate net income, it fundamentally changes how financial performance is structured, organized, and communicated to investors.
